Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 23. School will resume Tuesday, May 24. Please be safe and enjoy your long weekend!
For Municipal Involvement Day, our students wrote in the “Mayor for the Day” essay contest for the Town of Brooks. Students were selected from each elementary school for the best essay, and Jordyn’s was top tier! She was selected as a Councilor and is participating in full Town Council meeting, debating, arguing and moving motions! Jordyn will also go on a tour of town with the Mayor and other student Councilors. Well done Jordyn!
Tomorrow is Track and Field for all Grade 7 and 8 students!! Below are a few key points to remember: 1) 7 & 8 students are required to be in school (regular school time 8:30 am). 2) Please ensure that you dress up appropriate to the weather condition (rain or shine), don’t forget to bring lots of water to keep you hydrated for the whole day, pack a lunch and snacks. 3) Parents are welcome to watch and cheer 😊 4) Students ARE NOT allowed to leave the school campus. You will be dismissed at 3:20 pm. 5) You may use cellphones for the day (to check the time, for reminders for events, & or take pictures of yourselves), but you are bound by the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools’ Responsible Use of Technology Policy. This means you are not allowed to take pictures or videos of someone who did not authorize you, no posting of streaks or stories in social media from 8:30 – 3:20. 6) Students are discouraged to use headphones, headsets or air pods so you’ll hear important announcements during the day. Good luck to all of our athletes and remember to have fun!!

Congratulations to our 2021/2022 CTK Edwin Parr Nominee Jeylyn Sarmiento. Miss Sarmiento was recently recognized and celebrated for her excellence in teaching during her first year.
Chalice is a Catholic international aid charity focused on child, family, and community development. We work closely with lay people, religious missionaries, and local communities to provide care for the many children and families caught in the dehumanizing grip of poverty. Since its inception, Chalice has been restoring hope and dignity to people in developing countries through our sponsorship program. Children and elders are selected for sponsorship based on need and family circumstances, regardless of race, age, ability, gender, or religion. CTK has done amazing things this year and we are very proud to announce that we have raised $4034.10 to donate to Chalice. This is amazing and we are so proud of all of you!
Mr. Cruikshank will be starting up a Chess Club after Easter break. When: Every second Monday at lunch recess. More information will be shared when we return to school on April 25.
