For the Grade Six Band Trip, students from CTK headed to the National Music Centre in Calgary. Students learned about rhythm and percussion, and Canadian music history. They also had the opportunity to explore their instruments and try out many others at Long and McQuade.

Miss. Vitamog’s Science classes welcomed Relay Education for a fun-filled Science workshop! The Grade 5’s “blew us away” with their creativity in designing wind turbines!

What is the craze at CTK, you ask? Rubix cubes, chess games, and checkers. There will now be an opportunity to play all games at recess. More information on morning announcements. Happy gaming!

Do you know someone who is considering coming to Christ the King Academy? Or someone curious about who we are as a school community? Please invite them to our first open house on March 20 from 1 - 7 pm. Admin will be available to give tours, answer questions, and help with new registrations for the upcoming school year. Holy Family Academy open houses: 1. Kindergarten: March 20 from 1-5 pm. St. Joseph Collegiate has open houses for: 1. Grade 9: April 20 at 10 am and 6:30 pm 2. Grade 10-12: April 26 at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm

Don't forget to set your clocks forward 1 hour this weekend! Wear pyjamas to CTK on Monday, March 13! Q: Why did the man sit on his clock after setting it back for Daylight Saving Time? A: He wanted to be on time.

Do you like poetry? Students at CTK will be listening to a variety of poems and voting on their favourites! By the end of March, CTK will have ONE FAVOURITE POEM! It's March Madness - Poetry Edition 2023! Stay tuned for the results!

Congratulations to Mrs.McCaffrey, one of this year's recipients of the Christian Witness Award. The Christian Witness Award is presented to a CTR staff member who is described as someone who makes Christ known to their community by joyfully embracing and living the Gospel, and the teachings of our Catholic faith. We are all so proud of you, and blessed to have you as a teacher and colleague, here at CTK!
