Staff and students had so much fun last week! There were so many creative, fun, and hilarious costumes! Thanks to everyone for making it such a great day!
Volleyball Intramural Championships
Grade 8 girls volleyball team won best dressed team costume at their Rosemary Tournament! They were all Beanie Boos! Could they be any cuter?
Grade 5 students collaborate in their groups during Religion class. Each group will plan and present a Liturgy. Mrs.Bartusek is proud of the way the groups discussed prayer intentions, wrote their welcome messages, and decided on their opening and closing songs.
Grade 7-8, boys and girls basketball tryouts are on November 20 & 22 from 3:30-5:00. If you are interested in coaching grade 7 girls basketball, please call the school and talk to Rowena Bazan or Cindy Freimark. Coaching commitment: 2 practices and a league game per week. Tournaments: 1 home and possibly 2 away
While teaching a gym class, Mrs.Freimark was arrested for impersonating a police officer. Students quickly pleaded for her freedom stating, “Its just Halloween. Our principal is innocent and deserves to be released immediately!”

Congratulations to the grade 8 girls volleyball team who went undefeated in all sets and won 1st place at our CTK volleyball tournament October 20th.
Students at CTK experience a wide variety of options in grades 5-8. Miss.Paquette leads a Textile option for Grade 6 students. How fun is that?
PICTURE RETAKES are on Tuesday, October 24. Students requesting retakes should bring their order form to give to the photographer. Students who missed the September 27th picture day will also have their picture taken at this time.
Ms.Cruikshank’s grade 7s solve a mystery from clues in the novel, The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.
The Filipino Culture, Language, and Arts class did a research and presentation on some traditional Filipino dish that are commonly prepared in all Filipino occasions. Today, the class went to an Eat All You Can Sierra Madre Restaurant in Brooks as the culmination of their unit 3 lesson. They tried Filipino dishes such as dinuguan, pansit, lumpia, chicken afritada, pork adobo, gulay na may hipon, nilagang baka, Pinoy spaghetti style, pritong isda at manok. All students had fun and tried as many Filipino foods as they could. Thank you to Sierra Madre Restaurant for the discounted price and to Mr. Harris for driving the class to and from the restaurant.
