Ms.Cruikshank’s grade 7s solve a mystery from clues in the novel, The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.
The Filipino Culture, Language, and Arts class did a research and presentation on some traditional Filipino dish that are commonly prepared in all Filipino occasions. Today, the class went to an Eat All You Can Sierra Madre Restaurant in Brooks as the culmination of their unit 3 lesson. They tried Filipino dishes such as dinuguan, pansit, lumpia, chicken afritada, pork adobo, gulay na may hipon, nilagang baka, Pinoy spaghetti style, pritong isda at manok. All students had fun and tried as many Filipino foods as they could. Thank you to Sierra Madre Restaurant for the discounted price and to Mr. Harris for driving the class to and from the restaurant.

What are you doing on October 27th? If you and some friends are looking for something to do, come on out to Trick or Trivia! It’s fun and it’s a great way to support all 3 schools…HFA, CTK, & SJC!
Mrs.dePiero has been busy making recess fun and engaging. She has been providing CTK and SJC students with structured sports and activities. We have been playing soccer, hockey, skipping, volleyball, cats cradle and so much more. She's loving opportunities to teach sportsmanship, conflict management and cooperation. HFA has been graciously sharing their space with us to make this happen.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
With all its beauty, the rainbow stretched over CTK this morning! Blessings to our staff, students, and families at CTK on this amazing day! So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on earth.” Geniuses 9:17
