February's Fruit of the Holy Spirit is Mildness, also called meekness. Meekness is not weakness! It is the quality of being gentle and tender-hearted towards others, a quality Jesus displays. This week's Bible verse is: Jesus says,“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11: 28-29
Did you know January 25th marks Bell Let's Talk Day? A day to continue the work in breaking down the stigma of mental health support, which is something we are all passionate about. Bell Let’s Talk has a vision of a Canada where everyone can get the mental health support they need. This year is going to be different; Bell is not donating 5c per text or tweet, which they usually do - raising $8.5 million last year. Instead, they are donating a flat fee of $10 million going to a variety of mental health initiatives. Bell Let's Talk has a great website with some useful tools and resources. #EndTheStigma
Congratulations to Mextli and Piom for being nominated for being a royal and noble disciples of Christ. #CTKAllTheWay
The month of January is the Holy Spirit's virtue of Goodness. Students have been encouraged to add goodness to their faith, add knowledge, add self-control, add endurance, add godliness, add Christian affection, and add love. -2 Peter Chapter 1
